Zosia Zaks
Zosia
Zaks, M.S., M.Ed., works primarily as a disability advocate
and as a teacher. She consults with autistic adults and the
families of autistic children to address issues based on autistic
strengths. In addition to consulting, speaking, and writing
on issues of importance to the autism community, Zosia teaches
disabled adults community living and academic skills. She
is currently working toward licensure as a Certified Rehabilitation
Counselor and serves on the national board of the Autistic
Self-Advocacy Network. Zosia lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
Both Zosia and one of her daughters have Asperger Syndrome.
Zosia brings her unique perspective as an autistic adult,
as a parent of an autistic child, and as a disability professional
to all of her endeavors, including her writing. Her first
book, Life
and Love: Positive Strategies for Autistic Adults,
is full of concrete ideas and practicle suggestions for living
life on the spectrum.
