Wallis
Simpson and her husband, Donald, live in Bartlett, Tennessee
with their two boys, Jesse and Andrew. Andrew was diagnosed
with Autistic Spectrum Disorder when he was four. The diagnosis
was changed to Asperger Syndrome when he was seven. Wallis
participates in a summer course, Children with Disabilities
and Their Families, at the University of Memphis as a guest
speaker giving insight into the family aspect of autism. She
is a home-schooling mom who began journaling at the age of
fourteen. In addition to writing, she enjoys teaching adults,
reading, and sports. She is also the co-author of I Choose
to Laugh: Faith in the Midst of Cancer.
