Michele Walker received her bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her master's degree in applied educational psychology from Northeastern University in Boston. She has worked as a mental health counselor at the Columbia Metrowest Medical Center and as a guidance counselor at the Blake Middle School in Medfield, MA. Since the birth of her two sons she has been extensively involved in researching and providing developmental services for her children as well as others in the community. Her son Matthew, in particular, serves as a form of inspiration for Michele. He was diagnosed with Asperger's at age two. With the help and support of many doctors, child development professionals and Matthew, Michele developed the Choiceworks™ System.
