Damian
was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome when he was 5 years old.
Now at the age of 17, Damian has successfully completed high
school and is working on a bachelor's degree. At this point
in his life he wants to share what he has learned about coping
with social issues and other day-to-day situations with other
young men who have an ASD. This year AAPC will publish Damian's
first book. Asperger Download: A Guide for Teenage Males
with Asperger Syndrome. Damian wrote the book with
his mother, author Josie Santomauro, specifically for teens
ages 11 to 17. It is a basic A-to-Z teaching tool for teens
with AS.
Josie is a full-time writer. She is the author of 14 fiction
books for children/young adults 11 resources on Asperger Syndrome,
including Pirates:
An Early-Years Group Program for Developing Social Understanding
and Social Competence for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
and Related Challenges and Space
Travelers , co-authored by Margaret Carter and published
by AAPC.
