Amy V. Jaffe
Amy V. Jaffe holds a masters degree in
social work from New York University and is a certified school
social worker and a Connecticut-licensed independent social
worker. For the past 13 years, she has served the West Hartford,
Connecticut, school system as a specialist working with children
with special needs. She also conducts workshops for teachers
and consults on a wide range of childhood disorders. Her 30
years experience in the northeast includes serving on the
staff of a child guidance clinic where she supervised social
work interns and on the staff of family agencies, as well
as conducting a private psychotherapy practice and consulting
for other clinical social work and education professionals.
She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers
and of the Connecticut Clinical Social Work Society. Amy is
the co-author of My
Book Full of Feelings: How to Control and React to the Size
of Your Emotions.
