Kirby Lentz

Kirby Lentz, Ed.D., is president and CEO of Chileda, an intensive treatment center and day school for students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) with significant challenging behaviors. Dr. Lentz specializes in the development of collaborative IEP between parents and schools, assessment of the effectiveness of the IEP, and integrating ASD strategies and interventions into classrooms and service environments to ensure student success. He also has worked to develop early intervention programs in day care centers. Dr. Lentz developed, implemented, and is the lead instructor of the Chileda-University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Autism Certificate Program, worked in Chennai, India, as an autism consultant, and works with governmental agencies, state agencies, and local autism support groups to advance the success of parents, students, and teachers. Finally, he is the author of Hopes and Dreams: An IEP Guide for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and the developer the tool Authentic Quality Assessment of the IEP.
