Autism Asperger Publishing Company

We are an independent publisher specializing in books on autism spectrum disorders based on the latest research on autism, Asperger syndrome and other pervasive developmental disorders. We take pride in offering books that provide practical solutions for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder as well as parents, teachers or others working or living with an individual with an autism spectrum disorder. In addition to autism books and asperger books, we offer videos and other interactive products.

We have recently expanded our titles of books and resources on social skills and sensory integration due to the importance of these areas for individuals on the autism spectrum and the scarcity of resources in these areas.

Whether you need information about an autism spectrum disorder or social skills or sensory integration, we offer books, resources, and conferences of the highest caliber with a practical focus.

AAPC Celebrates Upcoming Temple Grandin Film

Autism Asperger Publishing Company is eagerly awaiting the premiere of an HBO drama that centers around the life of Dr. Temple Grandin, co-author of Developing Talents. "Temple Grandin" will star award-winning actress Claire Danes, whose portrayal of Dr. Grandin has already received rave reviews. The film follows Dr. Grandin's life, starting with her prognosis and continuing through her inspirational rise to becoming a world-renowned consultant in animal sciences and an autism advocate.

To celebrate this exciting occasion, AAPC is offering Developing Talents at 20% off its original price! Enter "HBO" in the coupon code box when placing an online order or mention this promotion when placing a phone or fax order. This offer ends February 13.

In the updated and expanded edition of Developing Talents, the authors take an in-depth look at a growing area of the U.S. economy: entrepreneurship. Using real-life examples, they point out that many of the unique characteristics of individuals on the autism spectrum lend themselves well to entrepreneurial ventures. The book also explores many often unnoticed aspects of Vocational Rehabilitation programs that provide job training and placement for people with disabilities as well as Social Security Administration programs that offer vocational assistance. Finally, employment figures and prospects have been updated and new jobs have been added that are particularly well suited for those on the spectrum, resulting in the most current look at the employment prospects for individuals with Asperger Syndrome and high-functioning autism.

"Temple Grandin" will premiere at 8 p.m. ET on February 6 on HBO.
